A Water Footprint is the total volume of freshwater used to produce the goods and services consumed by an individual. In the The Oat engine, we calculate both direct and virtual water usage.

Pollution Oat
A high water footprint doesn't just deplete resources—it drives Environmental Pollution. When we consume products with high virtual water, we often contribute to the degradation of distant ecosystems through "Grey Water" discharge.
