THE POLLUTION PROBLEM
Space is filled with dark "micro-meteoroid" dust. Over time, this dust hits the rings and "pollutes" the clean ice, making it darker and redder.
RING AGINGALBEDO MEASUREMENTS
Saturn's rings have a high Albedo (reflectivity) of **0.2 to 0.6**. This brightness suggests the ice is very fresh and hasn't been dusty for long.
